Lama Kathy Wesley Lojong Webinar

A Virtual Lama Visit: Beginning on Sept 10, Lama Kathy Wesley will be offering an entirely new series of online teachings on the importance and practice of Lojong.  They will be webcast from the Columbus KTC, and are available to the North Carolina KTCs.  Please note the time change from our usual Wednesday night: 7:00pm-8:30pm.  The suggested donation for these 6 teachings is $60.

Current Study Session:

Every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm, we gather to study teachings and meditations of interest to Buddhist practictioners. New participants are welcome at any time.

Beginning on Sept. 3rd, we will start a 3 month study of Lojong.  Lama Kathy Wesley will be leading a webinar on several Wednesday evenings, starting at 7pm on Sept. 10.  (Note the time change!) The online live seminar, titled “Engaging in Active Compassion: The Seven-Point Mind Training,” will take place at our Center on W. Weaver St. in Carrboro. On Wed., Sept. 3 at 7:00pm,  an overview of the topic will be given, as well as an introduction to the text Lama Kathy will be using, The Great Path of Awakening. [details]

 

 

Who We Are
The Piedmont KTC (Karma Thegsum Choling) is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation group belonging to the Karma Kagyu lineage. We are affiliated with the Karma Triyana Dharmachakra
monastery in Woodstock, NY, which is the U.S. seat of His Holiness, The 17th Karmapa.

Our Location
We are located in downtown Carrboro, on the 2nd floor of the IFC building.  Please park and enter from the rear of the building, between #201 and #203 West Weaver Street.
