About the Piedmont KTC

The Piedmont KTC (Karma Thegsum Choling) is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation group belonging to the Karma Kagyu lineage. We are affiliated with the monastery Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, which is the seat of His Holiness, The 17th Karmapa, in the U.S.

We gather regularly for study group, sitting meditation, and group prayer and sadhana practice. We encourage the participation of beginners. A great way to find out what Tibetan Buddhism is all about is to come to our Study Group on Wednesday evenings. Meditation instruction is available upon request. Beginners are also welcome to our prayer and sadhana practices on Sunday mornings.

Anyone with good intentions is welcome to attend our practices. You may also join the Piedmont KTC or make financial contributions to support our activities. [details]

Our members come from the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina including Cary, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh.

Anyone interested in learning about meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, and the Karma Kagyu Lineage is welcome to participate in our activities.

We are an affiliate of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, a Tibetan Buddhist center in Woodstock New York.
