On June 17 we will start reading and discussing Traveling the Path of Compassion: A Commentary on The Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva
by His Holiness the Seventeenth Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje.
From Namse Bangdzo: "Motivated by the purest of compassion, the Gyalwang Karmapas have taken
rebirth continuously since the eleventh century. The present
seventeenth incarnation, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, was born in Eastern Tibet
in 1985... Known for his clear and direct teaching style, the

The Piedmont KTC (Karma Thegsum Choling)
is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation group belonging to the Karma Kagyu
lineage. We are affiliated with the Karma Triyana
in Woodstock, NY, which is the U.S. seat of His Holiness, The 17th
are located in downtown Carrboro, on the 2nd floor of the IFC building.
